The storage and transmission of personal data over the internet is inherently insecure. The Rochester Rotary Club cannot guarantee the security of data transmission over the internet.
The Rochester Rotary maintains administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect personal data in our possession against loss, alteration, misuse, or unlawful processing or unauthorized access, whether accidental or purposely.

Types of Personal Data Collected when you Donate
We thank all our supporters that provide monetary support. We do not make public that you donated or the amount unless authorized by you. Credit card donations are processed by our PayPal or G Pay partner who is PCI compliant to protect your credit card number and other information necessary to process the transaction. The Rochester Rotary does not store credit card numbers in any of their systems and passes the information in an encrypted format.
Types of data gathered when donating/sponsoring are:
- Amount of monetary donations
- Name
- Email Address
- Address
- Phone Number
- Using your PayPal account or a Credit/Debit card
- You are then switched to our PayPal partner to collect the remaining information and tomake the transaction:
- Plan to make donations recurring
- PayPal Account (if you have one or Credit/Debit information if you do not)
- Credit Card information:
- Name on credit card
- Mailing address
- Email address
- Credit Card Number
- Expiration Date
- CVC Number
We use this information collect for the following purposes:
- Name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and communication preference are stored in internal Rochester Rotary systems and this information is used to communicate with you including solicitation for future donations.
- Amount of your donation is used for financial accounting.
- Credit Card information is used by our Service Provider to process payment to your account
The Rochester Rotary makes no effort to gather financial account or credit card information.
The Rochester Rotary does not share donation information with any other organization.

Personal Data Sharing
The Rochester Rotary does not resell any personal information to other third parties. We do not rent or trade email lists with other organizations or businesses.
The Rochester Rotary does not disseminate or collect personal data except under agreement with Service Providers. These Service Providers provide the following service to Rochester Rotary.
- Credit Card Processing
- Email communications
- Donor and Rotary Member lists
- Camper data
- Employee payroll and benefits
We may disclose personal information:
- If we are required to do so by law, legal process, statue rule, regulation, or professional standard or to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other government official request.
- When we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical harm or monetary loss.
