School #8 Students need your help!

Roberto Clemente School #8 has been Rochester Rotary’s adopted school since 1994. Rochester Rotarians help students in several ways, such as tutoring them, reading to them, mentoring, and providing scholarship opportunities.

While the needed tasks are many, the time commitment varies. To keep making a difference in these young people’s lives, we need more Rotarians to help these K-6 students — whether you can assist on a regular basis or occasionally.

Ongoing tutoring of a student, such as assisting with homework

Reading books to students

Working with Scholarship Students - providing mentoring, monthly educational and social activities, and ongoing support

Providing in-classroom support (assisting a teacher with student activities)

Attending parent - teacher conferences (with students whose parents are unable to attend)

hosting a field trip at my business or organization

Donating school supplies, clothing or books to the library
