DEI Passes the Rotary 4-way Test presented by Rochester Rotary Club DEI Co-Chairs David Powe and Tom Mitchell.
Rotary International adopted a Code of Conduct on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and a framework for its implementation in 2021. This code of conduct is consistent with Rotary’s long-standing values, programs, and services for supporting in the areas such as public health, conflict prevention, literacy & education, economic development and protecting the environment. There is an effort with the current administration to end government, non-profit, and private organizations commitment to DEI initiatives, policies and programs. The Rochester Rotary DEI committee co-chairs David Powe and Tom Mitchell have examined these efforts and challenges and have provided an argument to support Rotary’s commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. This 1-hour presentation will include background on the issues, facts and personal stories. ASL Interpreters will be available for this event.
