Different kinds of prejudice can be amplified in different ways when put together. It shows up in a complex, cumulative manner when the effects of different forms of discrimination combine, overlap, or “intersect”.  There is oppression that exists in isolation and understanding who they overlap for different identities is important in understanding how we advocate differently.
