The International Service Committee of Rochester Rotary has been funding and assisting the “Books for the World of Western New York” for many years. This  program takes books (mostly text books) that are no longer needed here in the USA and provides them to needy countries in order to improve literacy.  Books are currently being provided to countries in Southern and Western Africa, India, Pakistan, South and Central America.

We are looking for a few volunteers to help sort and pack books that will be shipped from here to Texas and then on to the needy nations.  The next activities are scheduled for Saturday, April 22, and Saturday, April 29 from 9:30 AM to Noon at a warehouse at 465 Paul Rd.
