B2B GRE Economic Gardening Discussion
November 17, 2022 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am
Matt Hurlbutt, GRE president and CEO, and Kate Daily, Managing Director of Business Development will be holding a discussion on The Greater Rochester Enterprise Economic Gardening program on Thursday, November 17th at 9:30 am via Zoom.
Greater Rochester Enterprise (GRE) is a not-for-profit economic development organization dedicated to improving economic performance in the region.
The GRE Economic Gardening program fosters business growth by assisting second-stage companies poised for continued growth and expansion. Second stage companies are typically privately held firms with 10 to 99 employees and $1 million to $50 million in sales and are proven job generators. They have survived the start-up phase and generally have a small executive staff. Second-stage companies represent 15% of the companies in a typical metropolitan statistical area and 40% of the jobs.
The GRE Economic Gardening program fills a need to help these companies accelerate their growth by providing CEOs with information necessary to make strategic decisions regarding entering new markets, launching new products, strategic alliances, increase sales, all of which are more important after COVID. GRE works with the National Center for Economic Gardening to connect participating companies to technical experts who help companies identify qualified sales leads; facilitate targeted marketing using geographic information systems; review core strategies for niche market opportunities to maximize revenue potential; examine the use of social media to maximize branding; and improve search engine optimization
